Templates
These templates are to help you:
- Evaluate both the shape and the volume that is needed to create or restore contour or symmetry of the patient
- Carve your own material, in theatre or prior to going into theatre (e.g. resorbable material, autologous bone, mesh, etc)
- Make your own implant ahead of the surgery.
Maxillofacial technicians and prosthesists are usually very interested in these templates as it allows them to speed up their work (e.g. the need for impression, counterdie and/or manual filling is greatly reduced).
For surgeons who like to use autologous bone or block-material that they then shape, this solution is much cheaper than getting customised non-titanium implants.
For hospitals that have the lab workforce, such templates offer great cost and time savings, by giving staff more time to concentrate on duties that benefit more from their specific skills.
All the types of implant that we design are described in the
Products drop-down list on the menu on the left. For each, we provide the templates that allow you to make the implant yourself.
